At the baseball-themed Bruins of the Year event on April 23, 2026, Librarian Alisha Winward was honored as Central Middle School's Teacher of the Year. She was introduced at the event by her sons Payson and Leo Winward.
Science teacher Michael Secora was honored as Central's Rising Star Teacher, an award for teachers with one to four years of experience.
Central Special Education Paraprofessional Shannon Liesman was recognized as its Classified Person of the Year.
