The 69th annual Bartlesville District Science Fair was held February 20-25 in an all-new virtual format, due to COVID-19. More than 140 students participated in the educational event, and four Central Middle School students earned recognition.
Dillon Mehta's project was "Blown Away: A Comparison of Various Types of Wind Turbines" and earned 1st in Engineering in the Junior division and was selected to go on to the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair at Oklahoma State University in March, which will also be held virtually. His project also earned seven additional special awards.
Adit Paul's project was "Vacuum Power - The Power of Nothing" and earned 2nd in Physics in the Junior division and a special award.
Andrew Pu's project was "Flames and Rainbows" and earned a category medal and special award.
Diwakar Vinodkumar's project was "Archimedes Boat" and earned honorable mention and a special award.
